"Protect Me From 5G Act" Introduced in Illinois (2020)

Illinois State Representative, Deanne Mazzochi, has proposed legislation that would protect residents from a proliferation of 5G equipment and require reliable information about the impact of the new wireless technology.


Mazzochi, a Republican from Elmhurst, has filed House Bill 5818, the “Protect Me From 5G Act,” would require wireless companies to outline a "plan to monitor and record daily levels of radio frequency emissions produced by 5G equipment, analyze noise levels for small wireless facilities and equipment, and allow local governments to suggest new wireless antennas be installed on existing poles to limit the number of new poles."
